Due to the limited number of OEM Plasma manufacturers, calibration includes virtually every Plasma display available to the consumer.
HD / DVI Calibration Pattern Generator: [Sencore Enhanced] Quantum Data 802B generator with DVI-HDCP output capable of generating DVI Analog or Digital signals at resolutions from 480i through 1080P up to graphics grade, for DVI equipped display devices.
Legacy Display Pattern Generator: Quantum Data 801GX for Composite and S-VHS.
“ System-Throughput” Source Material: AVIA, Video Essentials, and Sound And Vision DVDs
Colorimetry Equipment: Progressive Labs CA-1 Cal-File Assisted Color Analyzer for CRT phosphors and calibration-library / radiospectrometer referenced display devices. D-ILA, Plasma, LCD, and DLP light sources, utilize the Progressive Labs CA-1E analyzer.
Optical Comparators: For Passive comparison, The Real Picture uses the original ISF comparator, with filters for multi-IRE use.
Active Optical Comparison employs a Sony Professional monitor, for comparison of program material as well as window patterns.
Originally ISF trained in 1994, Michael Hamilton has maintained ISF standards by assisting at West coast seminars and those held at CES.
Additional training includes 2003’s Joe Kane Productions Signal Path Seminar and Jim Burn’s Fixed Pixel Display seminar.
Calibration and Video Consulting has been a full time endeavor for Michael Hamilton since 1994. In addition, Michael is a National Hockey League Off Ice Official during regular season and playoff games in Phoenix, Arizona.
